Monday, September 12, 2022 –Roots Party leader, Prof George Wajackoyah, has asked new president William Ruto to go after COTU leader Francis Atwoli.
Speaking to a local channel on Monday September 12 afternoon, the party leader incited the new head of Sate not to spare the likes of Mr. Atwoli for having been on the fore-front insulting and trying to block his presidency.
“Ruto should forgive those who insulted him, but there are some like Atwoli he should go after,” George Wajackoyah.
This sentiment attracted a barrage of activities on social media with one, Mark Mwiti, advising the Roots Party boss that what Ruto should be focusing on is fighting runway corruption.
“Ruto should go after corruption poverty and unemployment. Those are the most important things that need to be addressed. The presidency is not an institution for vengeance,” Mark Mwiti remarked.
Another user recommended that it was wrong to go after someone who had already been knocked down and surrendered.
“You don’t fight a person who has fallen down in surrender. Is UDA this low? Waste your energy in bringing the cost of unga down instead of fighting the fallen. GUYS LEADERSHIP IS SEASONAL,” he urged.
Wajackoyah has also announced that he had officially taken the opposition leader role from Azimio’s aging Odinga.
