Monday, August 22, 2022 –Ex-Roots Party running mate Justina Wamae has exposed unknown details within their party after losing the August 9 election to William Ruto.
Speaking with K24 journalist on Monday August 22 morning, Ms Wamae revealed that they had a lot of confusion within their party which finally led to their dismal performance.
She said, though she has no personal feelings against her former boss George Luchiri Wajackoyah, should her views been taken into serious consideration, results could have been different.
“You cannot leave your gate open and still cry foul that your stuff has been stolen. So, we’re still thinking in these lines,” Wamae claimed.
Wamae said lack of proper organisation was the real cause of poor workmanship in the Roots Party; what also left so many loopholes that led to the loss of other contestants.
“As it is, we haven’t had a meeting, because my boss had said that he is going to go to court. I spoke to him on phone and told him it wasn’t viable given that we hadn’t organised ourselves in terms of agent mobilisation,” she added.
Wamae who already sent her congratulatory message to the President-elect William Ruto, urged Wajackoyah not to petition the case because it doesn’t make any political or social logic.
She also took issue with Azimio la Umoja team which has today Monday August 22 gone to court to petition the victory of William Ruto.
Ms Wamae rose to fame after Wajackoyah picked her as his running mate; and this was booted even further when she showcased her debating prowess during the highly popularised deputy presidential debate that was held at the Catholic University hall in Nairobi.
