Sunday, March 13, 2022 –Kiambu County Senator Kimani Wamatangi has finally joined Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Receiving the senator at Thika Stadium on Saturday March 13, Deputy President William Ruto said he was optimistic that their journey to reclaim this country from poor leadership was on a course due to the expanding numbers in his party.
Wamatangi stormed the highly charged venue at the time Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah was addressing.
Interestingly, Wamatangi who replaced Senator Irungu Kang’ata as Majority chief whip in the Senate has decided to also dump Jubilee Party same way his predecessor did. Kang’ata had replaced Susan Kihika who was also removed for associating with DP Ruto.
“I have made this move after making adequate consultations on thngie ground and I can state that it I am highly convinced that I am in the right team,” he noted.
The Kiambu Senator had served in that capacity for around seven months and his decision to join Ruto, he said was purely informed by the rising popularity of the DP around their Mt Kenya.
This desk also learnt that Kabogo joined the Kenya Kwanza coalition at the fully packed Thika Rally same to MP Moses Kuria.
