Monday, January 25, 2021 -Fresh war of words has ensued between Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and area Woman Representative Purity Ngirici.

Barely two days after the Governor claimed that the Building Bridges initiative BBI was a forced document, Ngirici now calls such a sudden U-turn as not only desperate but also a double speak from  the politically cornered Waiguru.

Addressing residents of Mwea on  Sunday January 24^th, the Woman Representative recounted how Waiguru was among tho leaders who ignored calls for a consensus and instead continued chest thumbing that the BBI project was a must document with or without changes.

“There are those who actively went around the country popularising the BBI reggae, which was characterised by chest-thumping and mockery and as such could not pave way for fruitful deliberations.

“Now, some have started changing the tune and propose a collaborative process, we know what they are seeking is a political mileage. Is she not among governors who criticised Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata for revealing to President Kenyatta that BBI was unpopular in Mt Kenya?” Ngirici posed.

According to Ngirici, BBI was not very important in this country for now when there are some important things the government should be concentrating on before the curtains fall for Mr. Uhuru who is winding up his second and last term.
