Friday, January 27, 2023 –A viral video surfaced online showing a certain African leader reportedly lecture Kenya’s president William Ruto on leadership.
In the widely shared clip on Thursday January 26 afternoon, President Ruto was seen sitting pensively in his chair close to Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu as his counterpart ‘schooled’ him on matters leadership.
The person seemed to be concerned with Kenya’s challenges especially on the past election where the opposition leader unsuccessfully contested the outcome.
“I want you to go back to your country and fix it. The leader of the opposition is crying that his victory was snatched.
“Go back to your country. The man who is supposed to be the president is crying. Peace in your country is important over this conference in Africa,” the man purportedly lectured Ruto in the video.
The video would shortly be put under scrutiny and was found to have been doctored and faked through a process called Deep Fake.
This is when deep learning artificial intelligence DLAI is used to mimic the real subject with the sole intention of misleading the public.
The sound in the video did not match the original audio as shared by the Statehouse.

Ruto used the opportunity to thank the African Development Bank, which pledged to invest sh 1.2 Trillion in food production in Africa in the next five years.
