Monday, March 29, 2021 -Former US President Barrack Obama has termed the death of Mama Sarah Obama as an irreplaceable loss to their family.

Through his Twitter handle, Mr. Obama on Monday March 29, said the granny’s departure from home is a blow but that their family must also celebrate her long life on earth.

“My family and I are mourning the loss of our beloved grandmother, Sarah Ogwel Onyango Obama, affectionately known to many as “Mama Sarah” but known to us as “Dani” or Granny. We will miss her dearly, but we’ll celebrate with gratitude her long and remarkable life,” he wrote.

On her part, Ouma Obama, the lady who was captured on camera boarding The Beast with then President Obama, also noted that it was a pleasure having her for that long.

“Just lost the most important person in my life – my gran, Mama Sarah. My heart is broken! But as I write, not able to stop the tears from pouring, I know I was blessed to have her for so long! My inspiration, my rock, my comfort, my safe space. Rest in Peace Dani”.

The elderly granny breathed her last while undergoing medication at the Kisumu based Jaramogi Oginga Odinga facility.
