Tuesday, March 22, 2022 –Kenya Kwanza Alliance has clarified that they will not pick on Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi to be the running mate in their coalition.
Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi also Deputy President William Ruto’s top ally has dropped a bombshell on who they have already settled on as Ruto’s second in command.
In his Tuesday morning of March 22 interview on Kass FM, the outspoken MP stated that the person to deputize Ruto must come from Mt Kenya Region.
He added that the noise that Kenya Kwanza was in a dilemma on who to pick to feel that position was ‘hogwash’ and that this will be dispensed soon.
“We have agreed as Kenya Kwanza that the running mate slot will go to the mountain. We have, however, not yet settled on who will be picked and it is upon the stakeholders to decide on that,” Sudi stated.
He also added that they will soon unveil their running mate even before Azimio la Umoja Movement announces who is their deputy.
“We will not wait for Azimio to pick their running mate before we can settle on ours. We are always ahead of them and we will reveal our choice at the right time” added Sudi.
The development in Kenya Kwanza is coming at the time Amani National Congress ANC Party is pushing to run away with the running mate position.
Not once nor twice, has Kakamega Senator Celophas Malala been on record emphasizing that Musalia Mudavadi must be Ruto’s deputy or they walk away.
However, recently in a TV interview, Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Shollei clarified that only a hardworking person with numbers will be considered for the position.
