Wednesday, November 8, 2023 –Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI have reportedly arrested one of the Wells Fargo employees who stole sh 94 million.
In sources reports reaching Homenews.Co.ke on Wednesday November 8, the suspect was busted celebrating the heist in Busia Town restaurant.
Detectives had since Monday launched a hot pursuit against the two Well Fargo staff who made away with client’s millions.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI sleuths commenced an intensive search of the duo who, earlier on Monday November 6, disappeared with sh 94 million after dumping the company vehicle at Dafarm in South C, Nairobi.
In the police report dated November 6, in the 6AM incident, the two suspects – Daniel Mungai Mugetha (crew commander) and Anthony Nduiki Waigumo (driver) – sneaked the truck out of the company’s Nairobi offices shortly after the money-box was loaded, leaving behind the police escort car that was waiting to be flagged off.
