The truth is that Musalia Mudavadi has dissolved his Amani National Congress ANC political party. He was going to no where with his party still intact. It is the truth of the matter.
Those busy faulting the Mulembe kingpin are missing the point to a very large extend because they should be knowing that Mudavadi is comfortable in his place of work. He has everything he requires in government and currently he is the most trusted and comfortable person in the Kenya Kwanza formation.
Mudavadi has a complete office, State bodyguards, budget and can fly anywhere he wants any time. He has security and his wife also has a State budget. All the prefferencial treatment a State official would require, Mudavadi has.
With all these things readily available, what else do you want him to do? Mr. Mudavadi doesn’t want to remove Ruto from power anytime soon. In fact, he’s Ruto who can make him president through any political party and not Musalia making Ruto the president through ANC. ANC had outlived it’s usefulness even in Western where it belongs.
Mudavadi is working with Ruto as his spare part that should Kenyans continue rejecting him(Ruto) and his lies upto towards 2027, then the coalition could decide to front him(Mudavadi) as its fall back. Highly-likely.
The ANC party boss doesn’t need to create friction with Ruto or anyone. He could easily get the far he wants by lying low. It’s not a poor tactic. Some times this can work for him just like it has worked for others. You can win power in many ways – through the ballot, concensors and negotiations, or through the gun. All these ways have worked before. It cannot be always through friction and street demonstrations. In fact demonstration is an old tired way of doing things. It’s nolonger attractive.
Last but not least, the person who I see being punished a lot for his continued defiance is Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Masika Wetang’ula. There is no way Mudavadi can fold his party and Leave Wetang’ula with his party intact. No way. The Bungoma Kingpin will have to join UDA by force whether he likes it or not. Anything else, may see him lose his speaker’s position in government.
Infact, he had also been left with privilege to always nominate who becomes the Health CS in the current Government. But the way I see things go, that privilege is no more. Deborah Barasa will be kicked out just like Susan Nakhumicha anytime in the next reshuffles. Raila Odinga’s person will get that position. It’s just a matter of time. Trust me.
Mr. Odinga has huge organic fellowship than Mr. Wetang’ula and Ruto could sacrifice the small numbers held by Hon. Wetang’ula to retain Raila in government.
In short, alot is going to happen in the next few days.
