Parliament Speaker Moses Masika Wetang’ula’s mother, Anne Nanyama, has passed on. The State has made the confirmation.
President William Ruto sent his message of condolences to the family saying he wishes them strong hearts as they maneuver the trying period.
“Our condolences to Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Mheshimiwa Timothy Wanyonyi for the loss of your dear mother. Anne Nanyama was a progressive, responsible and caring woman who raised upright children.
“May God grant comfort to the family, friends and the people of Bungoma at this sad time. Rest in Peace, Mayi Nanyama,” Ruto wrote.
Wetang’ula is along serving lawmaker for Bungoma who became Senator between 2013 to 2022 before Ruto levated him become speaker of the National Assembly.
