Sunday, December 5, 2021 –Amani National Congress ANC Party boss Musalia Mudavadi and his OKA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka have disclosed a heartbreaking experience in the hands of Trans Nzoia residents.
Narrating in an interview how on Saturday November 28 a group of youth accosted them before blocking their way asking for their contributions towards an ailing soccer player, Mudavadi said it is disheartening that as a nation this is where the situation has reached.
He recounted how a group of youth forced them to part with a contribution towards the ailing Sofapaka mid-fielder Wisdom Naya who is currently battling cancer.
“I’m saddened with the state of our systems that has pushed Kenyans to the point of holding leaders hostage forcefully demanding contributions for their medication,” Mudavadi stated.
The OKA Principal has regretted that this is the poor state of affairs in this country where the state of economy is now driving members of the public to coerce their leaders to solve their financial challenges.
Mudavadi now assures that if elected into power, his priority will be to prioritize health care in the country.
“If elected, Musyoka and I will ensure that we stabilize the economy and grant Kenyans access to affordable medical care,” he promised in the interview.
Naya who is currently bedridden suffers from Sarcoma, a severe type of cancer, that demands intense medical care, which has led his medical bill to accrue to sh 2.5 million from chemotherapy, surgery and medical services.
His friends and family recently held a fundraiser that saw ODM Party leader Raila Odinga give his contribution of sh 500,000.
