Wednesday, November 17, 2021 –Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga has maintained that his next year government will make sure every poor household gets sh 6,000 stipend per month.
Responding to descending voices which believes this promise was unrealistic, Odinga said he is not a new person in government and understands where government money gets lost to and those complaining about the promise only want keep looting it.
He went ahead to shut down Musalia Mudavadi’s recent comments on the topic saying the ANC Party leader should instead focus on his manifesto rather than wasting time casting aspersions on things he should not be concerned with.
He wondered how this could concern someone who should be working hard on his own manifesto for Kenyans because 2022 was just around the corner.
“Some people have been asking about where I will get the money I am promising to give to the families without income.”
“I even heard Mudavadi oppose it but then I would like to state that the 6,000 shillings I am talking about should be less of his concern,” Raila said.
Mr. Odinga, who was speaking during the Azimio La Umoja meeting in Kilifi County on Monday, urged Mudavadi therefore to shut up and concentrate on his manifesto because he is also vying for the top seat.
