Sunday, January 23, 2022 –Party leader at Amani National Congress ANC Musalia Mudavadi is today making an unusual political pronouncements over what next.

The former Vice President has been threatening his competitors that from Sunday January 23, the political landscape in the country will be changing. He said his Bomas declaration will cause a historical earthquake that will send shock waves across the country.

Upto Sunday morning, Mudavadi had kept this secrete to himself with political pundits arguing that the party leader had only three options for him. The first option being to support or join DP William Ruto’s Hustler bandwagon, second option being to join Azimio la Umoja and third is to go it alone upto the ballot with hopes that a miracle happens along the way and Kenyans see logic in his candidature.

And in their addresses towards the big day, some of the ANC politicians among them Senator Cleophas Malala hinted at going it alone in the August polls. He said the party will from Sunday embark on nationwide tours to sell the Mudavadi manifesto.

“We are not only going to launch Mudavadi’s presidential campaign but also disclose his political allies. All Kenyans of goodwill and those who share our political ideology are invited. We will then start criss-crossing the country,” the Senator stated.

Same sentiments were shared by Party Secretary General Simon Kamau Gikuru who noted that after the launch they will immediately hit the road running.

“We are going to be  launching our manifesto, which is anchored on five pillars: a better economy, better devolution, better relationships, better leadership and a better economy,” he revealed.

The Bomas event dubbed ‘Earthquake’ will see over 6,000 delegates attend. They have however excluded their competitors like Raila Odinga whom they described as their rival.

Musalia’s desire to go upto the ballot will have to fetch mixed reactions owing to the fact that many of his lieutenants including party Deputy leader Ayuba Savula had already crossed to the newly formed DAP-K Party which is working within Raila’s Azimio la Umoja Movement.

Others who have left ANC for Azimio are Khwisero MP Aseka Miradi, newly elected Matungu MP Oscar Peter Nabulindo and a score of party MCAs.
