Sunday, July 31, 2022 –Kenya Kwanza co-principal Dr. Alfred Mutua has named Wavinya Ndeti as his preferred Machakos gubernatorial candidate, dealing a blow to United Democratic Alliance UDA Party candidate, Johnson Muthama.

The outgoing county chief openly made the pronouncements yesterday Saturday July 30 during their Kenya Kwanza rally and added that his choice had something to do with capability.

He argued that Ms Ndeti has an ability to take over from where he had left and urged locals to vote her into office despite her being in Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition which he ditched a couple of weeks ago.

“My vote, I will vote for William Ruto as President, Rita Ndunge for woman representatives, and Wavinya Ndeti as governor because she is capable of bringing development to Machakos County,” Mutua recommended.

This now makes another major boost to Ndeti just days after Mandeleo Chap Chap candidate, Francis Maliti, vying for the same seat had already decamped to her camp after abandoning the race.

However, Mutua’s move has reignited his fight with UDA Party Chairman Mrt. Muthama who is also vying for the same seat.

Mr. Muthama, Kalonzo Musyoka and Dr. Mutua never see eye to eye due to their irreconcilable political differences.
