Tuesday, January 4, 2022 –Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has confirmed that she is not married.
The outspoken female legislator opened up on the matter while doing an interview on a local TV station saying she parted ways with her man in a painful manner.
“Mimi si mke wa mtu. Am not answerable to any man,” she told NTV host on live show.
According to the MP’s own words, she is currently seeing someone else after the breakup which took a toll on her young family. She further revealed that she is eyeing the Kilifi gubernatorial seat which she believes she will win through United Democratic Alliance UDA Party ticket.
Jumwa further revealed that her source of strength is her children who she is fully catering for single handed.
Her advice to other women is not to be cowed by the situation they are in and should not be forced to be in relationships they are not comfortable keeping.
