Monday, April 3, 2023 –Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has hit out at former President Uhuru Kenyatta whom he now says was not honest with helping Raila Odinga capture power.

Speaking somewhere in Western Kenya this week, the Prime CS disclosed unknown details of their past meetings with the ex-president just a few months to the general election.

In the video clip with this writer, Mr. Mudavadi says, Uhuru Kenyatta used to promise each one of them his support every time he met them differently; what he(Mudavadi) says informed his decision to jump out to the rival camp led by William Ruto.

“The former boss of William Ruto was not an honest man. He would promise different people same thing and when asked to explain how, he only urged us to leave it to him,” Mudavadi recounted.

This saw the Amani National Congress ANC Party leader leave the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition at the crucial hour and joined the Kenya Kwanza alliance that would finally win power.

He faulted the opposition leader, Raila Odinga, for trusting too much in Uhuru despite obvious signs that he(Uhuru) was doing completely nothing to campaign or mobilize supporters around Mt Kenya.

“Uhuru never ever held mobilisation rallies in his Mt. Kenya Region. All meetings were held in Statehouse even when his presence in Mt Kenya was highly required.

“This behaviour clearly indicated to me that he was not serious with his promises to either of us and we were destined for a resounding defeat,” Mudavadi added.

Mr. Mudavadi and the current Speaker on the National Assembly, Moses Wetang’ula, by virtue of their support to Ruto, have since bagged plum positions in the William Ruto’s administration that is now about seven months old.
