Monday, November 15, 2021 –Noah Wanyama – father to two top football players in the country –  has spoken about his relationship with sons.

Appearing on KTN Tv live show with Mary Kilobi Atwoli, Mr. Wanyama said the local football standards had deteriorated because of both mismanagement and lack of government goodwill.

Asked to speak about the recent resignation by his son Victor Wanyama from football, a somewhat hesitant Noah Wanyama said he had not spoken to victor for long but believes he only resigned from local football and not international soccer abroad.

“Hiyo ni yake sijui lakini nasikia alistaafu vitu vya Kenya. Watu waliandika vibaya watu wengi walifikiria vibaya lakini sijui sijaongea na yeye lakini ni hapa Kenya tu nadhali.

“Saa ingine natembeanga wanasema huyu ndo baba Wanyama watu wanakana, wanafikiria ni litu likubwa. Yaani niko simple, navaanga nguo zingine watu wanasema ‘aa apana, huyo apana’. Wengine wanasema si angekua na bodyguard… Wanaongea maneno na wewe unaskia, wanabishana mpaka wanafika wanasema sio yeye,” added Victor Wanyama’s father.

Victor for instance, has managed to play football with Celtic(1011-2013), Southampto(2013-2016), Tottenham Hotspur(2016-2020) and Cf Montreal(2020 todate).
