Monday, November 29, 2021 –Opposition leader Raila Odinga has revealed the main reason Deputy President William Ruto is always rejected by the people who work with him.

Making this revelation on Sunday November 28 during his Nairobi County tour, Raila claimed that it has been hard for any leader to work with Ruto to a successful conclusion because of his character.

During the Grand Coalition era, Raila has revealed that Ruto could not spare public money which led to his sacking from the government.

“Those that I gave a job and they stole. We chased them away and now they are thumping their chests. Rubbish,” stated Raila.

The former premier went on to state that it is because of the same behavior that Uhuru has found it hard to work with his deputy and therefore people should not seem to question why it is happening so.

“In a span of one year, he spends Ksh100 million in one year yet we know your salary is just Ksh2 million. Where are you getting all that money. We know you have stolen it,” he added.

During the Grand Coalition government in which Mr. Odinga was the Prime Minister, Ruto was sacked together with another Minister over misappropriation of funds. By then Ruto was the Higher Education Minister.

Ruto and the then Agriculture Minister Sam Ongeri were suspended for three months so that investigations into their conduct could be completed.

Odinga made the orders in his capacity as the Prime Minister who was sharing government with President Mwai Kibaki. He had just received an independent report from the Pricewaterhouse Coopers PwC and the International Auditor General over the two State officers.
