Friday, October 7, 2022 –Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has apparently regretted joining Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party.
Though he ruled out any possibility of joining the William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza, Jalang’o’s latest body language, according to political scientists, points at a man not comfortable with his current home.
“Any government needs an opposition, if we all cross over who will do these checks and balances? I will not cross over,” he first stated in an interview.
The first time MP who was saying this during a live Tv interview yesterday Friday October 7 morning, went on to openly confess that he is a personal friend to the new head of State and, therefore, not very easy to fight him just because he(Jalang’o) is in Azimio.
“For now, I’m happy in my party – ODM, I’m happy and contented in Azimio, but that does not change the fact that the president is a personal friend,” he added.
This is after his host sought to understand his future in politics now that ODM and Azimio la Unoja coalition had lost the presidency.
Of late, Ruto has been on the charm offensive to woo both independent and Azimio-allied legislators to join his team so that he can have a smooth Cabinet vetting exercise expected to officially start this week.
So far many of the independent and Azimio MPs have since crossed over to his side so that they can enjoy what they refer to as ‘government goodwill’.
