Friday, January 8th, 2021 -Raila Odinga’s move to join hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta left Deputy President William Ruto with a field day.
Ruto is now enjoying the access power of opposition as well as the Deputy presidential powers what Odinga must get concerned of.
Odinga must not just sit pretty comfortable in government because Kenyans are very funny creatures who always want to associate with chaotic persons and that is where they all move to. The masses the opposition leader Raila Odinga used to attract when he was still vibrant are nolonger there. Crafty DP William Ruto is spending money, time and his other resources walking and dining with them. This must be of great concern to anyone wishing to replace Uhuru.
Where Kenya is now, someone like Odinga must be thinking about his political future without waiting for Uhuru’s endorsement who is again doing his last lap as the president.
2022 in just around the corner and, as we speak, Ruto is already ahead of the rest. He has totally refused to buy falsehood from his boss that time for campaigns is not now. He knows quite well that they are afraid of his ability in politics if left free. Odinga must therefore be aware of this.
In Kenya it is irresponsible to wait for an endorsements. Endorsements have never been implemented. Ruto who has already smelt the rat has bolted out of this comfort zone – though angry. Okay someone will say Odinga has suffered this fate several time well that is right but looking at his age numbers, he ought not to allow this to happen again. Any misstep at this time, and his goose is cooked.

It also goes without saying Ruto is a dangerous creature to play with. Leave him to do his thing freely at your own cost. He also knows he has nothing to lose because in any 2022 dispensation – BBI or not – he will still be relevant to rain havoc to his opponents. He can make a very explosive opposition force.
So anyone around Raila Odinga should dare tell him this blatant truth that his once suicidal support base is melting down at a very high rate. Ruto, is on the other hand, running away with a big chunk!
