Sunday, February 28, 2021 -Lawyer Miguna Miguna has revealed the reason why William Ruto is not aggressively fighting the Building Bridges Initiative BBI.
Commenting through his Twitter handle, Miguna said that Ruto was quietly happy with the BBI changes saying it is through the new Bill that he(Ruto) will be able to practice Imperial presidency.
According to Dr. Miguna, Ruto is not worried about the BBI Draft Bill since once passed and he gets into power, he will be able to manage anyone who wants to bring problems to his administration including power to change and twist the law to remain in in office forever.
“Patriots and friends: Do you know why @WilliamsRuto isn’t restricting the BBI? Since it makes an ALL-POWERFUL PRESIDENT, which he desires to be. . . , ” Miguna expressed.
This view is not far from what DP’s key ally Oscar Sudi said a week ago that they are not having any problem with any law that Kenya will present.
“Whether BBI passes or not that’ s not our concern. In any case, it ought to be evident that right now, BBI isn’t a need” Oscar Sudi said as his team mate Kipchumba Murkomen said they will repeal every BBI Clause from the Constitution once Ruto takes office.
His sentiments would then finally be amplified by Dr. Ruto himself who said he has an a rare ability to run the country using either the old or new Constitution.
