Sunday, April 24, 2022 –Murang’a Woman Representative, Sabina Chege, has dropped out of elective race to concentrate on selling Azimio la Umoja around Central Region and the country at large.

Addressing her supporters in Murang’a County on Saturday April 23, the outspoken politician made the big announcement saying she had a bigger task in the recently constituted Azimio-One Kenya Alliance Council as well to campaign for Mr. Raila Odinga

She observed that the task was not easy but she was ready to deliver results at the end of the August 9 elections.

“Finally the Holy Spirit has spoken, I will not be vying in any elective position in Murang’a County. I will concentrate with National politics in Azimio la Umoja Council.

“I have come to seek the blessings from my people in Murang’a to tell where we stand, and inform them of our decision. I want to ask them permission not to run in any elective seat because I have been given the huge task of selling the Jubilee and Azimio faction to them in order to guarantee the victory of the faction. For that reason, I will be taking to every county to sell the Azimio agenda,” she remarked.

She also took the opportunity to urge every Kenyan to think critically before voting because the next leader of this nation will matter a lot for the generations to come.

“I would urge Kenyans as we vote, let’s not think about the next elections but the next generation and let’s open our eyes,” Chege stated.

Her sudden about-turn is coming just weeks after she had hinted at vying for the Murang’a County gubernatorial seat or Kigumo Parliamentary position. She made the announcements on social media.

A couple of months ago, Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali also called it quits saying he would instead take serious selling William Ruto in Western region. Similarly, former Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ababu Namwamba also quit elective politics and has since been soaked into Hustler campaign team.
