Why Uhuru Changed Venue for Jubilee Party NDC

Sunday, May 21, 2023 – Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee faction has devised ways of beating State interference ahead of their National Delegates Conference NDC scheduled this week.

Their decision to ditch Bomas of Kenya and hold the party conference at Ngong Racecourse was a clever way of evading issues with the other splinter faction allied to the government of the day.

Mr. David Murathe.

Ngong Racecourse is a private facility where only club members approve admission, therefore, making it hard for any outsider to stop the exercise.

Uhuru and his embattled Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni resorted to picking the venue after Bomas of Kenya management decided to ban any activities citing routine maintenance that could stretch upto mid-July.

“Notice is hereby given that the venue of the Jubilee NDC has been moved to Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi. All other details remain as per the notice published on April 29, 2023,” partly read the notice.

On Sunday May 20, Mr. Jeremiah Kioni, with their members, held a daylong deliberation meeting on how their NDC slated Monday will prosper.

Homenews.co.ke has also learnt that the Uhuru Kenyatta’s wing will be petitioning the Law Society of Kenya LSK to take action on four errant members who attended the recent party’s Internal Disputes Committee siting.

On the other hand, the Kega-Chege-led faction has send MP Hassan Osman to court to attempt and block the Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting which it has described as illegal.

But luckily, Uhuru was given a green-light by the Tribunal which could not stop the planned NDC now to take place at Ngong racecourse on Monday May 22.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting will deliberate and approve party policies, consider a status report from the Nation Executive Council (NEC) and approve other matters discussed.
