Tuesday, November 23, 2021 –President Uhuru Kenyatta had to make last minute changes following plans by his lieutenants to finally kick out Deputy President William Ruto from the deputy party position.
Sources from President Uhuru Kenyatta have reported that the head of State had to pull out a last minute stop that calmed the storm.
The removal of Ruto through the anticipated National Delegates Convention (NDC) meeting could have not only created noise around the country but also affected President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second last State of the Nation Address which seemed to coincide with the ouster events.
The plan, according to the sources, had not fully received Uhuru’s blessing because of other issues which the head of State had to focus on first.
Any attempts to punish the DP at this time would have seen his massive following across the country erupt and while issuing the State of the Nation address, Uhuru could have been subjected to an embarrassing treatment from the angry Tangatanga faction.
Confirming the National Address, Speaker Justin Muturi told media that they had received an official letter from head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua directing them to prepare ground for the president’s event.
“The communication from Mr. Kinyua was to inform us as both Speakers that the President will be fulfilling his constitutional requirement as enshrined on article 132 and had sought to have us make arrangement for the same,” Muturi disclosed.
Ruto and his boss have not been in terms for years now with the former having already decided to organize his own party which he wants to use to vie for the presidency. It is because of this move that Jubilee party remnants believe he should completely be removed from the ruling party so that to reorganize their house.
