Saturday, September 21, 2024 –Most economies now rely on the informal industry to help reduce unemployment because it has been absorbing those who cannot not pursue further education.
Around the world, we have millions of young and mature people doing jobs that are not official but guarantees them a decent income. For instance, electrical engineering either automotive or civil do pay well. Additionally, they are self-employment.
Those who wanted to start earning through self-employment have joined the marketable sector which has weak competition because a few persons, especially, graduates don’t want to do dirty jobs; they want white collar jobs that requires an office and a laptop on a desk.
So what is someone supposed to do after failing to join campus? The answer is simple, learn a skill from your friends free of charge or join a short term training course of about three to six months and, after that, look for a small capital to buy few tools of trade.
Look for your first job and make sure you get it done right so that it can bring in more clients. Your very first job assignment matters a lot. It can become your spring board for subsequent jobs.
Once this is complete, make sure you are on your toe scouting for the second and third jobs. Do not rest at any point and, by the time you realise, you clients will be streaming in daily or weekly. Your brand, therefore, starts to shine, grow and becomes popular.
It is your brand now which automatically remains giving you jobs one after another. You also charge clients well because you are a standout brand. Simply put, you charge people for your product, skill and brand name – what amounts to millions of monthly profits.
