The wife told the media that on the fateful day, she was supposed to accompany the husband for a lunch date with an American friend but after a second thought, she remained behind and the husband decided to go alone before the kidnapping incident was reported.

“The plan was we go together but I remained behind and so he went alone,” an emotional Mezgebo, who has lived in the country for more than 15 years revealed.

Her worry is now on how reluctant the investigating authorities have been since the incident occurred with no any verifiable findings for her family.

She wondered why with all the CCTV footages doing rounds on social media, there is no one who can help trace her husband.

“My tears have dried up, my kids do not have tears anymore, you can see the pain in their eyes,” an aggrieved Mezgebo lamented.

Her children – a boy and two girls – are also yet to come to terms with the abduction incident since they are all traumatized and confused.

“My children are traumatized. They do not go to school. Those who did it are not torturing me or my husband; they are torturing the children,” she reported.

The family is now not feeling safe living in Kenya after the dramatic abduction that has entered its second month.

The youthful father of three, who moved to Kenya since 2005, has been missing since November 19, when he was abducted while driving his Bentley in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

He was dramatically stopped in broad daylight and dragged into a Subaru by men in plain cloth in front of a traffic police officer as other road users recorded the drama on their smartphones.
