Withdraw Your Bill and Resign – Miguna to Ruto

Chrispen

Wednesday, June 26, 2024 –Lawyer Miguna Miguna has asked President William Ruto to withdraw the controversial Finance Bill 2024 and resign from office.

In a video he shared on his X platform on Wednesday June 26, Miguna said all Kenyans have since rejected President William Ruto’s leadership in totality and it is time it paves way for new regime that can listen to the people.

“Mr. Ruto, whether you like to listen or not, Kenyans have rejected you from all walks of life from Nairobi, all towns and villages. It is not a small thing as you may think.

“Kenyans from all generations and ages have rejected you and you ought to do the honorable thing and resign from office,” Miguna stated.

The Lawyer added that this is not just the Gen Zs but the whole country is not happy with the president and his actions.

“It is not just Gen Zs or millennials or criminals infiltrated the protest the way you claimed on media. This protest  runs from the Coast to Coast, to South and the protesters have been peaceful led by disciplined and focused Kenyans who are well educated. They said withdraw your Finance Bill and this you  could have done that last week,” remarked Miguna.

Miguna Miguna claimed further that the Bill that has set Kenyans against their government is not made in Kenya, it was drafted in Washington DC by the IMF and the World Bank.

“This is an alien anti-people Bill drafted in Washington U.S.A by Financial lenders like IMF and the World Bank. It is not our Bill,” added Miguna.

He warned the head of State against ignoring the voices of Kenyans who elected him and said the monies he wants to collect in trillions from taxes is because of looting which the regime wants to propagate before leaving power.

Yesterday Tuesday night, President Ruto described the youths who are demonstrating as ‘criminals’ who he will deal with.

He also ordered an immediate deployment of army officers in Nairobi to quell the protests.
