While defending himself from accusations of inflicting damage to the unsuspecting citizens who had volunteered for their eye scanning, Mr. Blania stated that the Orbs which he uses to scan the human eye iris cannot cause health issues as is being reported by sections.

In the Wednesday Parliamentary meeting, the tech CEO argued that his initiative in the country was safe for human consumption and that all the safety procedures needed to be adhered to had been complied with.

He listed the certification of technology as having gone through the entire process as stipulated in the laws of both Kenya and Germany where it is located.

“That is not possible. Worldcoin is produced in Germany- one of the strictest certification agencies in the world. All the certifications are listed in the document. The Orb cannot cause any health issues,” he stated.

Asked why he had to choose Kenya as his preferred destination for the launching exercise, the German young investor explained that this was purely informed by the fact that Kenya has embraced technology faster than most African nations.

He added that his first site visit occurred two years ago; a tour he found fruitful after establishing the viability of the country for his tech enterprise.

“I personally travelled to Kenya and I met with entrepreneurs to get the actual feel of the Silicon Savannah. Kenya is the technology leader of Africa hence the decision to be here.

“Kenya has already made progress in mobile money technology as compared to other countries,” Blania further stated.

He was speaking this in the company of his lawyers led by Lawyer Thomas Scott together with other technical staff from his enterprise.
