Friday, September 9, 2022 –Raila Amolo Odinga, 77, has delivered an emotional message to Kenyans following the recent presidential election outcome.

Mr. Odinga who was addressing Azimio la Umoja Parliamentary Group PG meeting this week on Wednesday at Maasai Mara Lodge accompanied by both Uhuru Kenyatta and Martha Karua, spoke in parables to both Kenyans who did not support his bid as well as the seven-bench judges who saw it okay to dismember his evidence-packed petition at the Supreme Court.

In possible reference to the Martha Koome-led bench and the two major communities in the country – Kikuyus and Kalenjins, Raila stated that today they seem to give him a blind eye but it may not take long before they start to regret why they hate on him without any valid reason.

“They might not remember me now but they will remember me when I am gone,” Raila said on Wednesday.

He added that the consequences awaiting this country will happen mostly when he is no more and that is when many will recount his advises and fight for justice.

Despite six regions supporting Raila, Mt Kenya and Rift Valley which form the main voting bloc in the country, rejected him on the ballot making his victory so hard.

In the IEBC announcement following August 9 elections, Ruto, 56, garnered 7,176,141 votes, an equivalent of 50.59% of valid votes cast, beating him (former Prime Minister Raila Odinga), who had 6,942,930 votes representing only 48.85%.

Odinga’s fight for democracy as well as freedom for citizens stretches back in 80s when he was detained by the late President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, for 9 years.
