You Will Return KEMSA Money- Junet Told

Saturday, September 10, 2022 –Kericho County Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has warned Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed to prepare to return any stolen KEMSA money.

On Saturday September 10, Mr Cheruiyot told Junet that with William Ruto’s administration in place, any money stolen by the outgoing regime and, in particular, the billions which got lost through organized graft at the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency KEMSA, will be traced by all means necessary and returned for use by the public.

“You will return the KEMSA money. That at least we shall make sure you do,” said Cheruiyot on Saturday morning.

An angry Junet would quickly drop a savage rebuttal at the Kericho lawmaker whom he told that Kenya is governed by the rule of law and nobody will intimidate him(Junet) just because they got their kin in power now.

“He (Cheruiyot) thinks now that his cousin has become president he can intimidate people. We are ready for him…If he thinks we shall succumb he is shall face a rude shock,” responded MP Junet.

Junet, a close ally of Raila Odinga, who has for long been linked to the multi-million corruption at KEMSA, defended himself against the allegation that also touched on Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe and scores of other State officers who are yet to be charged in court.

Over sh 7 billion got lost in the heist that is yet to be dealt with conclusively despite the outgoing president, Uhuru Kenyatta, promising to fast-track the case so that to recover the lost billions.
