Tuesday, June 28, 2022 –A poor 23 year old man seeking leadership in Mathira Constituency has exposed United Democratic Alliance UDA Party’s attempts to lure him to step down in favour of their candidate.

The young man, Daniel Kiige, who has been struggling to campaign on foot, told off Ruto’s running mate Rigathi Gachagua who had started making financial advances to him that he will not take a job nor money from UDA in favour of their candidate Erick Wamumbi who is seeking to replace Gachagua through UDA Party.

In a Meeting held in their area, Kiige faced Gachagua and warned him to stay away from his political ambitions because he won’t be listening to them if the talk will be about dropping out of the race.

A reliable source from the area and who attended the meeting that saw both the two attend, told Homenews.co.ke that Kiige rose on a point of order, grabbed the microphone and stopped Gachagua from misleading the community.

“Mr. Gachagua thank you for offering me a job but my mission is to help the people of Mathira, and I will not abandon that mission,” Kiige stated.

This happened at Konyu Ward Mathira Constituency where MP Gachagua had converged with supporters and locals to deliberate on Kiige’s matter.

“I feel I need to touch many hearts as a response towards lifting the people who are constantly struggling to wriggle out of their problems,” Nation Africa quoted Kiige.

Since completing university in 2021, the poor boy has never landed any employment and his resolve today is to serve the people of Mathira whom he feels have been shortchanged by previous regimes.

He is vying on little known Freedom and Justice Party ticket.
