Thursday, October 28, 2021 –Former Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale is under siege over 1 million cash DP William Ruto donated for youth and women in the County.
Youths have come out to reprimand the former legislator over the monies which the deputy president contributed to support them.
In a report seen by Homenews.co.ke news desk, United Democratic Alliance UDA supporters in the county claim they had not seen what the money did and neither any one of them had received support.
In a heated press conference organized by Isukha Ward Member of County Assembly Farouk Machanje on Thursday October 28, it was established the Khalwale would be held squarely responsible for the lost cash.
The charged UDA youths said they will not rest until the sh 1 million from the DP is traced to its hiding place and culprits held responsible.
“I’m here as the MCA of Isukha East, and we want Khalwale to come out and account for the Ksh1 million Ruto gave our youth,” he said.
They now want Ruto to pick someone else to run for the gubernatorial seat in Kakamega County on UDA ticket or risk losing to a less popular candidate due to these issue of lost cash.
Most of them described the former Ikolomani MP as a political broker whose intentions in the party are not genuine.
“My friend the DP, kindly look for someone else and work with him for the Kakamega county gubernatorial race. Khalwale is a no. He is a political broker,” MCA Machanja remarked.
Police would emerge from the blues and dispersed the youths from their convergence point during the press briefing.
Miles away in Kongowea Mombasa, a similar scenario erupted with victims claiming their sh 1.3 million from Ruto had also vanished into thin air.
