Treasury Cabinet Secretary CS John Mbadi has asked Kenyans to believe in his ability to deliver required economic changes in one year.
He urged the nation to join hands with his team so that to see the country realise drastic economic changes that could improve lives of every citizen in every part of this country.
The CS assured that he is focused to help the country not only to fight poverty but also to deal with the issue of debt for once.
“I am very clear in my mind – we must work together in this broad-based government to deliver and streamline everything. People must understand that there are changes happening,” pleaded Mbadi who was speaking in a funeral service in Siaya.
He listed Agricultural sector, health and education as key areas his eyes are focused on to help deliver the country from dependence.
“We have managed to turn around the Agricultural sector and, for the first time, this government is not going to import sugar into the country because we have enough,” stated Mbadi.
The Finance boss added that, though, there are witnessed challenges in the Health sector, he is spending his nights combing through the current policies so that the sector can benefit all classes of people including the middle class who still feel that the newly-introduced SHA/SHIF programmes would hurt them most.
He, therefore, urged the nation not to lay blame and condemn the president because, with concerted efforts, every challenge will be confronted and turned around next year to benefit everyone.
Mr. Mbadi, therefore, asked everyone to support their broad-based formation which has put in place a robust plan to improve the economy of the country.
