Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party elected MP Caleb Amisi has warned his colleagues in the party against looking down on the same people who have supported them up.
In a hard-hitting statement today Tuesday, the Saboti MP stated that it was not looking good when ODM members who have been receiving people’s support throughout start to talk down at the same supporters.
“I’m warning my colleagues from opposition to stop exuding grandiose and arrogance while addressing kenyans in public. You may be reaping big from the government as an individual, but remember, the decades-long of blood and sweat opposition supporters have endured goes beyond your life in politics. “Kiburi na majivuno wachia Kenya Kwanza,” Amisi remarked in statement seen by Kenyawide.com
He added that ODM Party and its members was never known to be arrogant at the people and this culture could make the party very unpopular heading to 2027.
“That is not who we are. You can put your point forward without abusing the very citizens from whom you draw your legitimacy. You make our political wing look bad and, by extension, valueless to any political cause in the future. Please be guided”.
He was responding to hash statement from deputy party leader Ali Hassan Joho and election chairman Junet Mohamed who both appeared to undermine Kenyans who appear to have different ideas on how the country should be run.
