More Details on Ruto’s Kieni Visit on Sunday

Sunday, September 5, 2021 -It was witnessed some chaotic scenes as Deputy President William Ruto toured Nyeri County on his way to Kieni Constituency on Sunday September 5.

At some point on his way to Kieni, youths chanting ‘mwizi mwizi’ attempted to pelt his entourage with stones before he finally made his way to Kieni venue.

As reported by Dundapost.com, the DP and his Tangatanga brigade managed to make their way to Mbiiri Full Gospel Church in Kieni Constituency where they had been invited for a church function. Despite all the drama and chaos, DP Ruto continued with his rally in Kieni as was planned.

But according to Prof. Makau Mutua, the Deputy President could have staged-managed an attack on himself so as to attract sympathy from supporters by linking the chaos to rival Jubilee-allied politicians among them area MP Kanini Kega who had earlier warned them.

“Did the Sympathy Addict stage an attack on his own visit to Kieni, Nyeri?” Mutua tweeted.

From photos shared by Prof. Makua Mutua in his tweet, the same people seen burning T-shirts branded with ‘Uhuru’s bedroom’ are later seen arguing and mishandling each other.

The Deputy President has been accused by Interior Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Fred Matiang’i of trying to look for sympathy from voters ahead of 2022 Presidential election by claiming that government was switching off both the son and the moon.
