Thursday, April 29, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party politicians are now at war with each other over the state of the Building Bridges Initiative BBI.
For instance, Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo today Thursday April 29 mocked his counterpart John Mbadi for lack of legal knowledge. Their differences played in the open during live session.
It picked high when Mbadi reasoned that Parliament will amend BBI document later on after passing it. But quickly MP Amollo took him on reminding him that matters law are so sensitive and must be handled as such.
“Mr. Speaker as a matter of law, and this is where I disagree with my chairman, a constitutional amendment can be unconstitutional.
“I am talking about the law. John Mbadi you’ve not stepped in Law school so just allow me,” Amollo hit at Mbadi as the room cheered him on.
Mbadi, in his argument, had stated that any amendment later on would be allowed as long as it is coming from the popular initiative point of view.
All these is happening at the time ODM Party has developed cracks where one faction led by Senator James Orengo and MP John Mabdi wants the BBI Bill corrected; while the other group led by MPs Otiende Amollo and Okong’o Omugeni wants it done otherwise.
