Friday, August 20, 2021 -Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has issued a statement after the fall of the Building Bridges Initiative BBI today.
Through his official Twitter handle, Mr. Odinga said it was time to move on to something else after the ruling that didn’t favour his wishes and those of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He said that the parties involved will have to move on by making their own decisions based on how they want things done to achieve their course.
“It is likely that today’s Court of Appeal ruling is not the end of the conversation and the parties involved will each make their own decisions on how to proceed from the decision that has been delivered today. But we feel that we have to move on.
“This is not an indication of our regard to this noble initiative. Far from that, we feel that we must now see the forest for the trees, and pursue the bigger goal of setting the rest of the issues facing this country right,” he added.

He noted that the BBI process was never a destination but a journey in an ever changing way of life and promised to deal with the matters raised in the ruling in the near future through many other ways.
“Without doubt, we shall deal with all the issues in the months and years that will unfold onwards,” Raila remarked.
Both Odinga and his handshake partner Uhuru Kenyatta believed in the BBI agenda, while on the other hand, DP William Ruto thought otherwise.
Immediately after the fall of the project today, Deputy President William Ruto thanked God by saying the whole exercise was a fraud that would have left Kenyans in a complete mess.
