Monday, April 12 2021 -Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju may work with Deputy President William Ruto. He has said.
Making the confession on Monday morning, Tuju detailed that, in politics, anything can be possible and that his chapter with the DP is not yet completely closed. They can meet in line of duty.
“On matters reunion after BBI, Perhaps yes, perhaps no. I am loyal, but I have a mind of my own. I articulate my views and my positions without fear because I see things differently” said Tuju.
He added that though outside there people think they have personal differences, him and the DP are bosom buddies who can agree to disagree or the vice versa.
He revealed what caused some friction between them has been the Building Bridges Initiative BBI and once that is settled anything can follow.
He argued that Ruto and his lieutenants are pushing for something else on BBI while his boss Uhuru Kenyatta wants it done otherwise.
“I and the DP don’t just pass each other on the corridors. Surprisingly, there is so much mutual stuff going on, which I and the DP discuss freely.
“It is just on BBI. He wants it another way, we want it another way, but that is his right and which I respect,” he added.
The ex-Journalist also shed some light on the plans to remove Ruto from his deputy Party leader office saying the final decision will come from their boss Uhuru Kenyatta who wields that power.
Kenyatta through a special siting of their National Executive Council NEC as the Chairman, can convene a meeting in which he can decide his deputy’s fate.
