Saturday, February 27, 2021 -Time is racing and and those who are planning to take-on William Ruto in the next race must up their game or else…
It is not time to start unnecessary frictions in the camps as recently seen in the National Super Alliance NASA. This behavior is giving Ruto a political field field day and it must worry those who are his rivals.
The recent political friction witnessed in the defunct NASA was avoidable if the team is really looking forward to give Ruto a run for his money. However, I am afraid that upto now they are still losing.
Though some sections will want to wish away the William Ruto 2022 factor now that he is not in terms with his boss, but that cannot be right. What that man from Surgoi knows better is handling any negative publicity like it didn’t happen. For example, immediately he was told there was no support from Statehouse, Ruto hit the road running and pretended like he did not expect Uhuru’s support in 2022. He knew he had been played and therefore he quickly changed tact to show the world that he was not bothered by endorsements.
Raila is known to do his own thing anytime there is an election. I would urge other players like Gideon, Musalia and Wetang’ula to be serious. These are men who have resources to mount a serious presidential campaign and when I see them behave like they have no money to make Ruto sweat, I really pity them.
In fact, this issue of Uhuru endorsing anyone is another dangerous aspect that anyone dreaming of it must stop. I predict that anyone Uhuru will lay his hands on will be the first to be rejected by masses. The reason being, Uhuru’s power is running down everyday as his term comes to an end and therefore expecting him to give you blessing for votes is a too much expectation that will definitely fail any day.
Ruto on his part, is busy organizing to become the next president or an official opposition leader – Either. That is a clever way of doing things and this can only be made a success through intensified campaigns. He is good at that anyway.
I have asked myself this disturbing question, that how do Ruto’s rivals think whenever he demeans their team on Tv. I am asking this in respect to another fresh clip in which Ruto is laughing at them for uniting against ‘one man’.
It is the same way he handled them in 2013 and 2017 and though Ruto is not that strong as he wants people to think, his confidence always makes him one through giving his supporters hope for tomorrow.
